Eng. Akankwasa Michael

RE (Uganda), M.U.I.P.E, Project and Infrastructure Expert

Eng. Akankwasa is a Civil Engineer, Corporate Member Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE) No PE /1072 and Registered Engineer with ERB of Uganda ERB. 987 and Member Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF) No. 5125.

Eng. Akankwasa has an accumulated experience over twenty (20) years in infrastructure design, construction and maintenance and supervision of projects inclusive of paved national, rural feeder roads, hydropower stations, oil well sites, camps, waste management areas, education facilities and Gravity water schemes across East Africa. Michael has worked on several projects with diverse clientele including the government of Uganda, the World Bank, African Development Bank, Tullow Oil Heritage Oil, China Exim Bank, Danida projects.

Michael has managed both donor, government and privately funded infrastructure projects at multiple positions. He is proficient in Infrastructure overall project leadership, construction and maintenance supervision, measurements, contract administration and M&E.

Eng. Akankwasa holds a Master degree in Construction Management (KYU) and a Bachelor’s of science in Civil Engineering (MUK). He is extensively trained in contract management, labour management, and procurement, technical audits, resettlement policies and dispute resolution, local content, health and safety and project financial management.

Mr. Francis Kajura

Governance Expert

Francis is not only a seasoned finance and corporate governance expert but also a certified Investment banking Specialist. He is also a certified member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (UK), and a balanced scored card practitioner. Francis holds an MBA (Edinburgh, UK), ICPA (Uganda), ACCA, (UK) and a B.COM (MUK).

Francis has accumulated over twenty five (25) years of experience as an expert in governance, strategy, project management, financial reporting, stakeholders’ management, investment management, financial modelling and risk management. He has acumen in financial modelling, business analysis and re-engineering, financial structuring, compliance and regulation.

Francis has applied this extensive expertise on several boards of directors including UAP Mutual Financial services, Uganda Securities Exchange, Kampala Serena Hotels among others. He has an accumulated board experience of over 20 years either as a board member or senior manager in the organisation.

Francis is an independent consultant specialising in personal assets and Investments. He has previously worked as the General Manager of Britam Asset Managers, Chief Investment Officer at NSSF, Chief Finance officer at Africa Trade Insurance Agency (Uganda and Kenya), CFO at UAP Insurance and Total Uganda among other organisations.

Mr. Timothy Arinaitwe

Finance & Management Expert

Timothy is an experienced Finance Specialist with over 15 years in financial management, administration, and operations coordination. Timothy has proven expertise in overseeing administrative services, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies.

Timothy is skilled in leading financial reporting, procurement processes, and human resource administration, with a strong focus on optimizing operational efficiency and mitigating financial risks. Timothy has supervised teams, developed financial strategies, and enhanced financial performance, achieving significant cost reductions and greater ROI in several organisations he has served.

Timothy has served as the Deputy Finance Director at The Sheraton Kampala Hotel. He has also previous held senior positions such as the Group Financial controller at C-Care Health Group, Head of BPO at Delloitte Uganda, and also Finance Lead of IRH Projects at Delloitte Uganda among other organisations. Timothy has previously served as the chairman of Greendot SACCO Limited.

Timothy is a Fellow of Certified chartered Accounts (UK). He also holds an MBA (Herriot Watt University UK), ACCA, UK and a B. Stat (MUK) and additional to short trainings in Technical audits, BPO and business valuation.

Ms. Olivia Nahwera

GTM & Commercialisation Expert

Olivia is an expert in Go-to-Market and Route to Market and Commercialisation. She has accumulated over 15 years of leadership in sales and marketing in several organisations leading successful sales campaigns and substantially improving the organisations sales performance consistently over the years.

Oliva is highly experienced in growing commercial business, formulation and execution of commercial strategy, sale and marketing communication, team leadership and management, supplies and stock optimisation, determining GTM and RTM strategies, product costing and pricing, sales promotion planning and execution, sales material development, monitoring of performance by objectives, and market/distributor network development. Oliva is passionate about identifying market opportunities, developing distributor networks, marketing campaigns and conducting market research and intelligence.

Olivia is a PHD candidate at the Swiss School of Business Management. She holds an MBA-Marketing and a B.COM (MUK). She has previously worked as Head of Commercial and Specialities of Rubis Energy, Sales Manager Lubricants at Total Uganda, LPG and Solar Network Coordinator at Total Uganda and Head of Sales and Marketing LGP at Harshi Energy among others.

Mr. Allan Ninsiima

Footwear Expert, Strategist & Team Lead

Allan has an accumulated experience in MSME consultancy, advisory and training of over 15 years. He has offered his expertise in the fields of finance and investment, strategy, market feasibility studies, enterprise diagnostics, investment planning and training. He has worked with over 350 MSMEs in Uganda which are sector agnostic

As the team leader at Rada, Allan has seen the company grow from just three employees in 2018 to currently 24 employees, while sales turnover has grown over 50X from Ugx50 million to over Ugx1 billion (2025) and asset growth from Ugx20 million to over Ugx1.5 billion (2025) . Allan has also expanded the product offering from and crafts to closed school shoes, moccasins and women pumps, transformed Rada from an informal organisation into a formal compliant legal entity with good governance, bankable plans and strategies as well as corporate structures and a growth oriented team.

Previously, Allan has executed a wide range of successful projects for clients such as COMESA, WFP, BiD Network-Netherlands, IFDC, USAID, Technoserve Inc, Bank of Uganda, Civil Aviation Authority, Enterprise Uganda, Capital Markets Authority, VECO East Africa and The East African Community. He has worked with as a Business Analyst at Shoreline Services; a Project Manager at BiD Network/IRIS Consulting; a Senior Business Advisor (SMEs) at BDO East Africa and currently Team leader in charge of Strategy and Growth at Rada Shoes Limited.

Allan holds a Bachelors of International Business and an MBA (Finance) of MUK. He is certified in Financial Literacy, and Business Process Re-Engineering. He is passionate about footwear manufacturing.
